I was asked to create a guide for visitors detailing the different works of art on the Uconn Storrs Campus. I tend to think of artworks themselves as keepsakes of sorts. They record where we have been and to some extent, show where we are going. The works of art throughout the Uconn campus are therefore its own personal keepsakes. It was also necessary to include a map of the campus, but the idea of a traditional representation bored me. Instead I decided to create a map out of the text Keepsake in which each letter corresponds to a different avenue throughout the campus. Each work of art is marked by a number, assuming a traveler will make his or her way from the visitors center on the lower left, to the opposite side of campus on the lower right. The remainder of the path corresponds with the other Uconn Campuses distributed throughout the state.
